What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember things from one page to the next, such as whether you have signed in or which language you are browsing in, and, depending on the cookie, measure how the website is used.

Other equivalent technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), come under the same legal rules. This policy covers them all.

02

What we use on this website

Visiting this website sets no cookies in your browser, our own or third-party ones. There are only two occasions when anything is stored, and you start both of them: when you open a conversation in the chat, and when you sign in to your personal client or supplier area. You can check for yourself: in any browser, the privacy settings show what each site has stored.

We do not use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and we do not embed third-party content, such as videos, maps or social media, that could set cookies of its own. We measure how the website is used with our own tools and from our server, without storing anything in your browser and without checking the characteristics of your device: that is why this measurement does not appear on this page, but in the Privacy policy. We built the chat ourselves, and it loads nothing from any outside provider. The links to Google Maps and to WhatsApp open those services outside this website: nothing loads until you click on them, and once you are there, their own policies apply.

We do not ask for your consent in either case, and the law does not require us to: this is storage strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested, by starting the conversation or by signing in to your area (article 22.2 of the LSSI, the Spanish law on information society services). That is why you will not see a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. If we ever add something that does need consent, such as an analytics tool that stores an identifier in your browser, we will ask you before we set it, and this page will list it with its name, its purpose and how long it lasts.

Everything described here is stored by Madis Realty, the owner of this website, whose details are in the Legal notice. No third party reads or receives any of it.

What the chat stores:

NAME
madis.chat.v1
TYPE
The browser's local storage (localStorage), first-party. It is not a cookie: your browser does not send it every time it asks for a page; only the chat uses it, and only to fetch your conversation from us.
PURPOSE
To keep your chat conversation open from page to page and from one visit to the next, so that you do not have to repeat yourself.
WHAT IT STORES
Two random identifiers for the conversation (the key that reopens it and its number), whether the panel was open, any text you had typed but not sent, the date it was last used and the version number of this format. Any unsent text is deleted as soon as you send it. It does not store your messages, your name, or the email address or phone number you give us: those sit on our server and are retrieved with those identifiers.
DURATION
One hour from the last time you used the chat, whether that was your last message or the last thing you typed. After that it deletes itself and the chat starts afresh. You can also delete it sooner: end the conversation in the chat itself, or clear it from your browser.
CONSENT
We do not ask for it: this is storage necessary for a service you have requested (art. 22.2 LSSI).

What your personal client or supplier area stores:

NAME
madis.sesion (if the content is long, your browser shows it split into madis.sesion.0 and madis.sesion.1).
TYPE
A first-party session cookie. While you are signed in, your browser sends it every time it asks this website for a page: it is what tells us it is you.
PURPOSE
To keep you signed in to your personal client or supplier area as you move around it, so we do not ask for your password on every page.
WHAT IT STORES
A temporary credential signed by our server that identifies your session, with your user identifier and your email address. It does not store your password.
DURATION
Until you close your browser. If you tick «Keep me signed in» when you sign in, 30 days from your last visit. You can end it sooner from your area, with «Sign out», or by deleting this website's cookies in your browser.
CONSENT
We do not ask for it: this is the cookie needed for the access you requested when you signed in (art. 22.2 LSSI). Ticking «Keep me signed in» is an express request from you, so it does not need a banner either.

What you write in the chat and what you do inside your personal area are personal data. We process them as set out in the Privacy policy, which says how long we keep them and how to ask us to erase them.

03

How to delete or block them in your browser

You can check and delete what sites have stored in your browser at any time, in your browser's privacy settings. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain where to find it in each one.

If you delete what this website has stored, the chat will forget your previous conversation: we keep what you have already written to us for the periods set out in the Privacy policy, but you will be starting a new one, and we will ask you again how to get back to you. In your personal area, deleting the cookie is the same as signing out: next time we will ask for your email address and your password again.

If you set your browser to store nothing from this site, the chat still works, though the conversation is lost when you move to another page. Your personal area needs that cookie to work: without it, you cannot sign in.

04

Changes to this policy

If we add cookies or any equivalent technology, we update this page first and, where they need your consent, we ask you for it. The date of the current version appears at the top.
